Chongqing VIP Information Co., Ltd. (also called Chongqing VIP)  is an institution engaged in the research and application about scientific research data in China. It is the pioneer and founder of the research and industrialization of scientific research data in China. Based on its precursor Chongqing Branch of the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, it was established in 1995.

Its core product CB ITSTIC/CEPC Periodicals ChinaBase  has been listed in the China’s national permanent preservation digital strategic plan and has become an important part of China's national academic resources guarantee system. Since 2010, its VIP website has been one of the top 100 websites in China's publishing industry, and the "Warehouse Online Publishing Platform "has become the top ten key digital publishing projects in China's national digital publishing base.

Chongqing VIP has been always providing digital resources for the National Science Library which is the national permanent preservation project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, supporting technologies and data for the National Social Science Database which is also a project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, cooperating with Peking University on the source journal "A Guide to the Core Journal of China" and offering it related data standards and specifications, data quality control, supporting data, etc., and always providing tailored services for the metadata unified search services project of the National Library of China. After 20-odd-year continuous development, the coverage of colleges and universities in Greater China has reached 85%, scientific research institutes 90%, and public libraries 83%. It has more than 15 million registered users at home and abroad, more than 10,000 institutional clients, and attracted over 1 billion page views per year. Products and services involve many fields such as science and technology, education, culture, etc., and have established strategic partnerships with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, National Library of China, C9 League of Chinese Universities (Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University, University of Science and Technology of China and Xi'an Jiaotong University), E9 Alliance(Excellence 9), including Beijing Institute of Technology, Chongqing University, Dalian University of Technology, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, South China University of Technology, Tianjin University, Tongji University and Northwestern Polytechnical University, and other institutions.
